Meet Our NUCCA Doctor
Dr. Craig Dawson has exclusively utilized the NUCCA technique for over 14 years.
He comes from a small island off the eastern coast of Canada called Newfoundland. Dr. Dawson completed his undergrad studies and received a Bachelor of Science degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland in 1995.
A friend introduced him to the field of Chiropractic and he became fascinated with the idea that the body could heal itself provided the nervous system was free of any interference.
Dr. Dawson enrolled at Palmer College of Chiropractic in the fall of 1996. It was during this time that he discovered his passion for NUCCA. He studied the technique and philosophy of NUCCA. A technique based on bio-mechanics and physics was a perfect match for him because of his scientific background. The other major attraction to NUCCA was the gentle touch used to perform the correction. The ability to correct a person's spine back to a normal position using 3-D x-rays and applying only one ounce of pressure in a very specific direction was exhilarating to him.
Immediately following graduation from Palmer Chiropractic College in February of 2000, he moved to Utah and began working. This move was instrumental in Dr. Dawson obtaining a high degree of skill level in the precision of the NUCCA technique in a very short period of time. In 2007, he became an adjunct assistant professor at Palmer College of Chiropractic.
Dr. Dawson has been a NUCCA doctor for over a decade now and enjoys everyday improving the health and well-being of his patients. Not only does Dr. Dawson take time for his patients, but he also volunteers his time in mentoring and instructing other students and doctors in the NUCCA technique.
When he is not taking care of his patients his time is spent with his wife Karen and his two young children, Gracie and Kellan.
Stacey L. Wintch
Stacey is a certified Biomeridian Stress Analysis (BSA) Technician. Her nutritional education comes from Standard Process. She has a notable amount of continuing education and advanced training in nutrition and is known for always having her nose in a book. She enjoys reading and learning from her heroes, who are pioneers in the field of nutrition: Dr. Royal Lee, Weston A. Price and Francis M. Pottenger, M.D.
Stacey’s passion for wellness is driven by the incredible results in her own health and that of her family.
After a major car accident at 17 years old, Stacey was left with severe chronic pain on her left side. Over the next several years and three pregnancies later, she put on 50 pounds. She exercised and tried about every diet known with no results. 15 years later she was introduced to NUCCA chiropractic where it was discovered that she had a healed over injury of a broken neck in C1 and C2. Stacey had an unbelievable outcome with the new adjustment. Feeling so much better, she began to implement proper diet and exercise along with whole food supplementation through Standard Process. In 2002, with incredible results, she lost the 50 pounds within six months. It was an amazing journey that completely shocked her family and friends. Stacey truly feels that NUCCA and Standard Process has saved her life!
Stacey’s husband, her two daughters and son followed along the path with her. All four had asthma and were on inhalers and other medications at the time. Her oldest daughter, Jessie, also had a lot of digestive issues. Within eight months, they were all off their medication and feeling great! Four years ago they added GAPS (Gut and Psychology Syndrome) to their lifestyle and the rest of the issues her daughter had cleared right up!
Both her daughters were married in the last few years and now Stacey’s son-in-laws are following in these footsteps and teaching their family members this way of life.
Stacey has always been fascinated with the human body and believes nothing is more important than what we are absorbing. Even growing up, Stacey would watch Julia Child’s cooking shows. She couldn’t wait to see what Julia was going to create and was interested in the ingredients she would use in her recipes like kidneys, brain, liver, heart, etc. It wasn’t unheard of in Stacey’s house to enjoy eating these foods. Stacey’s passion in the kitchen is contagious. Her family loves to help with making bone soup and fermented foods such as kombucha, kimchi, sauerkraut and kefir on a regular basis. She believes that food can be a passion and not a struggle. Even healthy food should taste delicious and there can be room in life for celebrations with food and yummy treats. Life is so precious, our bodies are a gift, so why would you want to fill it with anything other than love?
Not only does Stacey enjoy cooking, but she also loves to work out. Her favorite types are rebounding and strength training with a kettlebell.When feeling extra ambitious, she attempts Zumba, which is not as easy as it looks.
Being part of the Dawson Spinal Care team has been incredibly rewarding for Stacey in so many ways. She feels honored and blessed to be among such an awesome team, especially working closely with Dr. Dawson – a brilliant, incredibly talented, hardworking individual. Stacey is inspired and motivated each and every day by Dr. Dawson and the rest of the team. Her favorite part is supporting a cause and devoting her energy toward something she believes will change the world. Stacey is deeply passionate about challenging the concept of living a life of “coping” as opposed to a life of optimum potential and ideal health.
